Who says self employment has to be a full-time occupation? Anyone can learn to make extra cash - just work at home part-time.

It’s not uncommon for parents and professionals to work at home part-time. For many, this is a good way to make the transition into full-time self employment, though some may choose a part-time route and use self employment simply to make extra cash.

Why not try work at home, part-time, before making the leap into a much more independent lifestyle? This is a good way to learn the business, get started on the road to self employment, and make extra cash all at the same time. Anyone who has ever wondered if self employment is for them could benefit from a little part-time work at home.

Work at Home, Part-Time

There are several reasons leaving full-time employment can be scary. For many, this may mean losing health and other employer-based benefits. It may mean a smaller paycheck, a tighter belt and perhaps more instability. But a part-time schedule also offers a little more free time and personal breathing room. It also gives professionals more time to focus on learning how to make extra cash with self employment.

Part-time work at home can be beneficial to moms, entrepreneurs and students who want to earn income without the grueling hours found in full-time employment. Work at home offers a certain freedom of schedule that makes it easier to juggle multiple jobs and other responsibilities. Those who work at home part-time can also discover some of the joys of self employment, while perhaps still enjoying a more traditional form of employment to maintain a certain level of financial stability (and security). By working at home part-time, professionals can learn the business of self employment on a smaller scale.

Working at home part-time is a good solution for many who don’t have a lot of hours to spend on self employment - not to mention the extra cash it might all generate.

Make Extra Cash

There are a lot of ways to make extra cash from home, even without committing to full-time self employment. The beauty of work at home is that professionals get to pick their own jobs, answering ads and sending out resumes only as they’re interested. Pick and choose the gigs which can be adapted to a part-time schedule, and start making extra cash with work at home.

Many moms, students and professionals have found work at home opportunities in the form of freelance writing, online blogging, Web site reviewing, even trading through eBay. Look for online work at home jobs through free sites boasting classified ads. Some sites, like WAHM, cater to those who are seeking home-based self employment and flexible hours.

Want to know if self employment is the right road to take? Try making extra cash through work at home, part-time. If all goes well, it may be possible to move into a full-time self employed schedule soon.

Right, Even if a person is working part time or working at home, still it is very efficient because you are earning even if you're just at home, though the earnings is not that big, still it is much easier to adjust the time for your families and other necessary things that you have to do and thus, you learn to take things in your own way.

I also make some extra money doing online surveys in my spare time. Here is a site with a ton of legitimate survey companies (they are not trying to sell you anything, and are free to join) - http://www.momswallet.com/surveys_focusgroups.html

I also do mystery shopping - mostly to get free meals these days. They don't usually pay much, but if you can pick up a shop at a place you are going anyway (e.g., grocery store, mall), you can write off the mileage on your taxes and make a few bucks. The site above also has lots of mystery shopping companies to sign up with.

Just watch out for get rich quick scams, and don't pay for lists of survey sites or mystery shopping companies. All that info is on the internet for free!!
